This week, I seem to have overextended my work commitments, so in lieu of my regular commentary, I'm going to introduce you to a SharePoint article available from our sister site, WindowsITPro.com. The article, written by Ethan Wilansky and Rick Sneddon, takes on a complicated but important topic--Securing your Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) 2007 deployment.

The authors discuss using Kerberos as your authentication method, and when you've finished reading this article, you'll know which Kerberos authentication features you require, how to configure these features in a SharePoint environment, and how to verify that Kerberos authentication is working. You can access the article, "Use Kerberos to Secure MOSS 2007" from Windows IT Pro.
