Have been banging my head against a wall on this. I think I may have been my own worst enemy. Hopefully someone can help.

I have a set up a box as a member server on our domain. I was originally having trouble having anyone on our domain able to authenticate to the SharePoint site but "solved" that by adding DomainName/Domain Users to the Users Group in the server's Local Group settings. The downside is that doing that has not only allowed any user to access the site, but it also allows them "Full Control", regardless of what I set up on the site itself. I tried taking the DomainName/Domain Users and moving it to the group WSS_WPG but then users couldn't access the site at all.

Any ideas on how to resolve this?
