I have created a list that has all the employees in my company grouped by department. I have another list for their contributions. Now, I want to add a field on the second list that automatically generates what department the contributor belongs to.

For example: Jake is an employee in accounting. Jake submits something on the contributions list. The field I'm asking about automatically generates that the submission was done by "accounting department". Is that possible? If yes, how?
